FarWest Landscape & Garden Center is seeking a quality, energetic, self motivated crew Technicians to join our landscaping and services team. This position plays an important part of our success and we are seeking crew Technician’s that are ready to contribute to the FarWest landscaping and services team. Arrive on time and ready to work at scheduled time Demonstrate good attendance/schedule days off. Physical Performance and Skills: Demonstrate proper handling, moving, and installation of plant materials. Move landscape and construction materials. Perform most horticultural skills without direction. Develop construction skills (i.e., pavers, irrigation, water features, hardscapes). Performance/Production: Practice procedures taught by foreman. Maintain consistent level of quality Demonstrate ability to be left alone on jobs. Eliminate misunderstanding through questions. Take on small sections of projects. Dependable - on time and reliable Human Relations: Maintain positive attitude and outlook toward work performed. Demonstrate respect for coworkers. Demonstrate ability to be a team player. Equipment and Company Property: See that tools and supplies are ready for the day and trucks are fueled and cleaned daily. Keep tools and supplies organized. Demonstrate proper operation and daily maintenance of most equipment. Treat equipment and company property with respect. Quality: Maintain a professional approach. Get the job done right the first time. Maintain quality while increasing efficiency. Think of ways to improve on quality. Safety: Operate tools and equipment safely. Use required safety equipment. Specific Responsibilities: Assist foreman in all tasks necessary to complete a job (i.e. load/unload trucks, move material, install landscapes). This may include installing rock work and gravel, installing all types of plant materials, installing patios and decks, mulching, yard cleanup and pruning, and installing waterfalls. Capable of learning and developing skills and mastering functions of a physical and organized nature. Capable of lifting 50 pounds and performing vigorous, physical labor. Clean driving record and ability to drive a plus.
