Celebrating the life & legacy of Regina Cheatham / honoring the lives of mothers + children negatively impacted by / lost to the war on drug
We believe in partying with a purpose, and are excited to bring back our signature Sober Socials for the Indianapolis community. In support of National Mental Health Awareness Month, the 2021 Inaugural Celebration of Life Weekend will kick off MRCI’s Capital Campaign: The SEED Project.
With a goal of raising $2 Million by year’s end, funds raised will enable MRCI to build a (physical) recovery community + safe space for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) through the Crisis Response & Recovery Center. Through this initiative, MRCI will offer:
Free culturally curated trainingAffordable housing + housing assistanceJobs with livable wagesComplimentary culturally curated mental health programs/servicesWholistic wrap-around support servicesAs a 501c3 nonprofit, MRCI will use proceeds from tickets sales to continue to provide free Peer Support and Mental Health programs/services for BIPOC throughout the state of Indiana.
