Help requested from a business-minded and financially savvy person

Greetings! I am looking to get some help with a project that I am patenting and want to take it to market. While I have loads of creativity, I don’t possess a lot of the business end of the endeavor I am planning. I realize there would be research and development, building prototypes, and then testing them by the proper authorities before taking this idea from my mind all the way to market. I would like my mentor to be accomplished in their own similar line of work, who has faced some of the same situations that I will probably face as well. I would like pointers and advice, as well as things that in looking back, they would do differently. I would also like to get a general idea of a timeline, if possible. Only respond if you HAVE done this sort of thing in the past or are currently doing it, as opposed to a corporation or LCC that’s more interested in making money from my idea than my dream itself. I would also like to see a passion for what COULD BE given to the world, and how it could help so many people in the medical field do things in a more painless way for the patient as well as bring newer or more sensible solution to a very common issue in a lot of surgical situations. When responding, if you could tell me a bit about yourself with some background about what you have done in the past and the field you were or are in. Some of the ways that you have improved procedures in the medical field or similar area would also help me to know if we are of like mind and I would be comfortable asking for mentoring or even some tips and “trade secrets” for lack of a better term. I really have high hopes that someone out there has good intel and is able to explain the pros and cons of different choices that must be made.
