Eclectic Metal band seeking Bassist

Description

We are Rise of Pariah. Predominantly and most easily classified as a Metal band but comprised with certain elements of: Prog, Popular Rock, Alt Rock, Virtuosity, Thrash, etc. Definitely a sense of eclecticism that threads together very nicely to produce a unique and original sound that is every bit it's own thing! We are a Guitarist & Drummer looking for a Bass player to complete the classic 'Power Trio' lineup. There is a lot of space in our music for a potential Bassist to get very creative and add their own flare to the overall sound-scape. Also, the ideal candidate can do back-up vocals and potentially share lead vocals as well. A tall order but not insurmountable! We're looking for someone who has experience, likes our music and enjoys their instrument. We're very happy with the direction of our material and not looking to make any drastic changes. As we develop a working relationship and the band solidifies we can discuss suggestions and ideas that have merit within the flow of our chemistry and branding. We're looking for a fair level of commitment so there would be no sense in joining up with someone who is always dabbling with other projects, isn't primarily a bass player or is over obligated in any sense. If things gain traction we'd prefer not to go through this process again if we can at all help it. We think we have something pretty special here but also remain (optimistically) realistic. •We are looking to finalize our lineup. •Rehearse for about 4 hours, one or two times a week. •Get a quality EP produced, with pro level audio, artwork and band logo. • Begin booking local shows when appropriate with intent to expand. As far as auditions go, we would prefer to keep things a bit more casual on our first meeting. You don't need to learn a bunch of our material right off the rip. We think it makes better sense to have more of a conversation and mutual interview at the beginning of this process. It also seems to us more fitting to let you hear us live instead of giving away a bunch of tablature and chords, sight unseen. There's a few of our songs on an outdated Facebook page that are ok but maybe not the best representation. It's what we have for the time being until we get some fresh recordings done. We have about 12 songs (that list is growing) and we are planning to record an EP & start playing shows as soon as the right pieces are in place! Thanks for looking!
