Non-Profit Startup looking for 3rd Director for Board

Our city is in need of community building and outreach to get to those who are on the fringes of our society. Grand Rapids has many non-profits who's purpose is to help the needy find the assistance they require to get back on their feet, but what is lacking is the outreach, and the relationship building aspect. We are working on starting a non-profit who's main focus is putting boots on the ground and reaching out to those on the fringes to build real relationships so that we an get to know what they need. Then we can connect them to the assistance they require. This will, of course, also require us to build working relationships with the non-profits in our community. Once we have a good system setup we can work on evolving to better fit the city's needs. This position is not for the meek, we will need to talk to everyone, get to know our community the old fashioned way (many homeless do not have cell phones and computers since there is such a thing as being too poor to even begin to escape poverty), and try and fail many times until we find a good way to reach out to everyone. Although, what we most require is someone who knows the finer points of business startup. We are muddling our way through the paperwork, and Michigan requires at least 3 directors to start the business. At the moment we have two directors and a few good connections, but no one willing to step up to a leadership role. Please email, call or text if you are interested.
