Description

Learn to use Google Sketchup for planning your next cabinet project. In this class we'll first go through the basics of measuring the space a cabinet will fill, things to watch out and plan ahead for, and best practices to use in design. Then we'll dive into Google Sketchup and learn how to make your project come to life in 3D! Basic shapes, planes, grouping, planning your joinery, sizing your project and creating cut lists will all come together to help get you started the right way before you buy your materials and start making cuts! Guests may bring a laptop with Google Sketchup installed, though it is not required. Instructor Josh Greene is the head of our woodshop committee at MakerSpace Charlotte.
