SUMMARY: The driver/material handler is primarily responsible for staging, loading and delivering of all types of materials for Residential Design Services worksites. The driver/material handler is responsible for delivery, loading and unloading materials. POSITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain inventory control of all materials Stage materials Deliver, load and unload at warehouse and jobsites Project and delivery van clean-up Wear the proper PPE and safety equipment. All other projects and responsibilities as assigned Verify all material has been delivered to the correct job site and communicate with office staff about issues Requirements COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Proficiency in counting materials and reading part numbers Ability to lift materials up to 50LBS Follow Instruction Must be able to work in a team environment Must follow all safety guidelines Well organized Must perform all work activities to timely completion Must have good time management Must be willing to drive for extended periods of time and on the routes assigned to them Must be capable of utilizing power and hand tools to install and service hardware DIRECT REPORTS NONE REPORTS TO: Department Manager Warehouse Lead EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE High School Diploma Good driving record LANGUAGE SKILLS Bilingual a plus CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must hold and maintain a valid driver’s license (Class C) Must be 21 or over to be a valid driver utilizing a company vehicle per the RDS driver policy Must provide a clean Department of Motor Vehicle Report PHYSICAL DEMANDS The employee is often required to sit and use his or her hands and fingers, to handle or feel, and able to lift 50 pounds unassisted. The employee is required to stand, walk, reach with arms, hands, and to stoop, kneel, or crouch. WORK ENVIRONMENT • Job duties will be performed primarily at the job site which may be either residential/commercial and the shop warehouse. • Requires employee to be outdoors on a regular basis. • Will encounter varying weather conditions and temperatures. • Noise level varies with job location WORK SCHEDULE Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS • Will be required to travel to multiple locations regionally on a regular basis Use link below to view company website and apply online
