Our maintenance department is growing like a weed! We are hiring great people to join us in our growth. Lazar Landscape is seeking an experienced, bi-lingual maintenance crew leader. We offer competitive wages, weekly pay, medical, 401k, paid holidays and more! Our offices are in Oakland, and most gardens are in the East Bay. Candidates must have interest in horticulture and knowledge of garden maintenance practices. Do you have: • A love of cultivating gardens • Professional gardening experience and an eye for detail. • Good communication skills, including a professional and courteous demeanor. • Knowledge of horticulture including proper pruning techniques, plant identification. • Knowledge of common plant diseases/pests and the effective treatment thereof. • Knowledge of irrigation systems and irrigation troubleshooting. • A valid California driver’s license with a good driving record Day to day responsibilities include: • Irrigation repairs & adjustments as well as knowledge of new irrigation installation • Garden clean ups • Aesthetic and remedial pruning • Garden Pest and disease treatment • Fertilization of plants and turf • Infill and replacement planting • Communication between client and main office Desirable skills include, but are not required: • Bilingual, (spoken) English/Spanish Work hours are full time, 7:30AM - 4PM, all year long – with no seasonal layoffs! Position requires regular lifting of heavy objects and bending, working outside rain or shine, and an eye for detail.
