Cannabis Farmer (Western Sonoma County) compensation: $19 to $21 per hour based on experience employment type: full-time Commercial medical cannabis farming company is now accepting résumés for the 2021 season. Application Deadline: Monday, April 19 Start Date: Monday, April 26 Job Description and Responsibilities: Full time cultivation laborer, approximately 40 hours per week for the next 4 to 6 months. Work schedule for this position will include working Monday through Friday from 8 AM until 4:30 PM. Additional hours may be available during harvest, typically October and November. Must be able to take direction from the manager and team supervisor and complete tasks as directed. Tasks Include: Transplanting, watering, pruning, weeding, irrigation repairs, weed abatement, small equipment operation, leafing and harvesting Required Skills and Experience No previous cannabis experience required Preferred farm/ranch experience or 2 year degree in AG or botany, not required Strong skills in interpersonal communication and collaboration Self motivated, demonstrating the ability to take initiative, work independently, be flexible, and think creatively Capable of working in a fast-paced outdoor environment Ability to lift 30+ pounds from floor to table height Strong time management skills, attention to detail and follow-through Value and ability to work and think collaboratively in a team environment The Company: Small farming company, entering our fifth year of cultivation at scale with two farms in Sonoma County.
