bassist looking to play with others

I mostly play electric bass, and some guitar. I play by ear and I have a bass, an amp and a car. I've been in some rock bands over the years but nothing very serious and I'd like to keep it that way :) Looking for a low level commitment ( no more than once a week) to work on songs: either original or covers. Any genre. oh, and I'm 50.
