Sharp young adult on the autism spectrum looking for companion to fully access the Asheville area including: hiking, volunteer work, keeping up with current events and exploring personal growth opportunities like continuing education classes and/or job opportunities. Should have a relaxed, nonjudgmental attitude and personality. Great for college students or recent grads. Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to pass a criminal background check. CPR/First Aid and other training necessary. Training time is paid. Valid driver's license, clean/safe driving history and reliable transportation required. Use of employer vehicle during work hours is possible or will provide mileage reimbursement for the use of your own vehicle. No medical or personal care tasks are involved in this position. The focus is companionship, friendship, growth and fun. Pay is $20/hour, 15-20 hours per week. This position is partially state-funded and structured as part-time employment with taxes withheld.
