Description
The JCC of Denver is seeking a responsible, hands-on, and reliable leader to fill the position of Director of Property Management. Under the direction and consultation of the CFO, the Director of Property Management will oversee all aspects of daily property and facility management of our campus in Denver and provide advice and direction to camp maintenance staff in Elbert County, CO. This position supervises the Property Management Team. The successful candidate will oversee the organization’s day-to-day facility operations, coordinate with key contractors and vendors, partner with departmental directors on projects/community needs that arise, interact with members of the JCC, all while remaining in compliance with local, state and federal regulations. Responsibilities • Manages, plans, coordinates, and physically assists with activities concerned with the operation, repair, maintenance, and construction of facilities, equipment, buildings, and grounds to minimize interruption and improve efficiency. • Inspects plant facilities or reviews inspection reports, to determine repairs, replacement, or improvements required. • Hires, supervises and trains team members. • Oversees the ticketing system and helps to prioritize maintenance, housekeeping, and grounds keeping service requests. • Assigns and assists team with completing duties such as maintenance, repair, or renovation and may obtain bids for additional work from outside contractors. • Attends meetings as required by the CFO to ensure program needs are understood and all key activities are properly communicated and coordinated. • Provides input into the annual Facility Management budget; coordinating purchasing of all key materials, parts, and supplies needed to support maintenance, housekeeping, grounds keeping, and security; and overseeing the monthly expenses to stay within budget. • Helps to identify and coordinate large capital projects designed to improve the overall operation of the building, facilities, and grounds. • Performs any other duties delegated/assigned by the CFO. Basic Qualifications • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial building maintenance, housekeeping, and/or related field. • Minimum of three years of supervisory or project management experience. • Broad working and practical knowledge of building maintenance (electricity, plumbing, painting, tile, and carpentry), housekeeping, and grounds keeping. • Knowledge of physical plants and in contracting with outside vendors for complex building systems. • Working knowledge of simple audio/video systems. • Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to safety, facility maintenance, and operations. • Strong customer service skills for working with members, staff, other agencies, government agencies, vendors, and contractors. • Excellent dynamic and adaptive problem-solving skills. • Strong interpersonal communication skills. • Ability to read and understand complex electrical, mechanical, & automation systems • Must be able to read, speak and write effectively in English. Spanish a definite plus. • Computer literacy and basic office software skills. • Manual dexterity, skill, and knowledge to operate hand tools, power tools, testing/diagnostic instruments, and climb ladders. • Time, task and project management skills. • Basic mathematic skills. Preferred Qualifications • 2 year technical degree in related field, or equivalent experience • HVAC, Plumbing, and/or Electrical training and experience Benefits Overview This full-time position is benefits-eligible. The JCC contributes a portion of medical, dental and vision plan premiums and pays for Basic Life Insurance & AD&D, Short-Term Disability and Long-Term Disability. There are additional voluntary benefit plans available. The JCC has a 401(K) Plan available for elective deferral contributions for employees over 21 years of age, with no waiting period.
