Whether you are looking for a summer job, or to advance your career in the outdoor industry we offer a variety of positions. Our outfitter offers an array of activities including whitewater rafting, kayak instruction, zip line, aerial course, mountain biking, paintball, horseback, and fly fishing. Working for our company gives you the ability to learn new skills, and expand on what you’ve learned all summer. We are now hiring at our Nantahala Outpost. We are search of extraordinary river guides, kayak instructors, kitchen staff, and bus drivers. If you would like to learn about whitewater, and are seeking a career in the outdoor industry then the Nantahala River is the place to start. The Nantahala River is class II-III, and is a great introduction to whitewater. Experience in whitewater is a bonus, but not required. Candidates must be comfortable in water and know how to swim. We are seeking to train hard working individuals who are eager to learn. Some of the perks for working at Whitewater Express include: preseason 2 week training at no charge, free employee bunk housing, and weekly meals are provided during peak season. Training will begin on May 17th. The main rafting season begins the first week of June. Mondays through Fridays are our busiest days; however you must be flexible to work weekends if needed. You will need to be available to work the full 8 weeks during peak season. We are also seeking individuals who are willing to work post season. We will have rafting trips into the fall, though schedules may vary. Besides being a fun and professional river guide there are few other requirements for the job. It is a plus if you are CPR and First Aid certified. If you are not certified, then a course will be offered during training with a minor additional cost. Other job responsibilities will include assisting in camp maintenance and cleaning. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age. Are you ready to kick start your career in the outdoor industry?
