Helper For Special Needs Girl Looking for someone 12-20 hours per week. Someone who is physically strong and enormously caring and patient. You will be part of a team with Mom, Dad and 2 other Caregivers. More hours are sometimes available depending on everyone's schedule. Right now we are looking for 4 hours on Sunday and 8:30 to 4:30 on Monday. K is 21 years old, and has Sanfilippo Syndrome - look it up, but don't be put off, because she has exceeded the textbook's expectations. She is non-verbal, and needs full assistance to walk, it is not an easy task, toileting and feeding, but she does some amazing things, like yoga, stroller walks on trails and dog parks, visits at the barn with her horses and barn cats. This job is for someone who wants to help defy odds; make a connection with an amazing non-verbal girl; explore alternative therapies first hand; create challenges and forge successes. We need strength, intuition, dedication, hope, excitement, fun, but mostly, love and more love.
