Hi we bought this property up on Grinnell 2.5 yrs ago as is. The manufactured home was built in 1965 and partially remodeled with an addition etc. The wall heater which blows via ducts around the house was not replaced so that's original. Anyway it started blowing cold about 1 yr. ago so that's the problem.
We had one diagnosis/estimate from a cooling and heating guy who said some panels weren't working right and that if we ordered the parts off ebay he could do the rest of the work, so we ordered them only to have lost the guy's #! We found another heating and cooling guy who said "oh no you need a whole new unit" and wanted 4K for that.
In any case I need someone who knows about these types of heaters to come take a look, tell me if it can be repaired, or if it's too old altogether and need a new system. On a fixed income more or less and a child with autism so we are hoping to get this fixed for cheaper than 4K. We have been using our wood burning stove to heat the house but we are older parents and our backs are shot! Besides we want to sell this place come summer so we need the heater to work.
