Position Title: Highly Skilled Handyman / Carpenter Position Description: We are seeking a Highly Skilled Handyman/ Carpenter to facilitate various forms of general labor. The perfect candidate will have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record. They must know how to use various small engine tools, be able to regularly lift 75 lbs., enjoy staying busy, and working at a fast pace. This individual will also need to be available, after hours, for emergencies. Attention to detail and the ability to work well with others is very important. Experience with a skid-steer, backhoe, forklift, and small farm tractors is a plus, but not required. Some common duties to be expected are as follows: Position Responsibilities: Know and exemplify company core values & vision Perform various property maintenance jobs and light repairs Perform flooring installations, tile, laminate, vinyl, linoleum in rental properties Hang, mud, sand, and patching drywall as needed Provide both indoor & outdoor painting services Perform lighting installation in rental properties Installation of countertops and cabinetry Installation of windows & doors as well as window and door flashing. Repair and maintain various appliances Identify, document and report maintenance and repair work Suggest additional repairs when identified and needed Perform various cleaning responsibilities such as power washing, cleaning windows, clearing gutters, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting Perform basic plumbing & heating repairs Assist tradespeople with electrical, plumbing or HVAC repairs Winterize properties Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm |Saturday & Sunday on call Qualifications: Proven experience as a handyman Previous experience in maintenance or other related fields Familiarity with hand-held tools Deadline and detail-oriented Ability to handle physical workload A proven self-starter with confidence and high energy level Possesses the ability to work independently and with a team, with little direction to solve problems while remaining professional and positive always.
