Bassist Seeks Band

Looking for either of these two situations: 1) An existing band that wants a bassist to get up to speed quickly. 2) A new project with someone who has a plan. You have a tentative song list in mind and some clear ideas about where you think your musical. Which venues, in other words. I've spoken to musicians who haven't been to a live music venue in a decade. How can you plan a band if you don't know the market in your area? I thrive on gigs. Recording is useful, but I'm not interested in that as a primary goal. And I'm actually from Irondequoit and I spend a couple days a week at a friend's place in Geneseo. So, distance is NOT an issue.
