This will be a class for adults, maybe some teens with a true desire to learn true Budo, through Karate-do. I am a 65 year old man, so some say I do "Old Man Karate".....I say I do real, true, and Original Karate. It is called Seito Karate-do. You can Google me if you wish at "Shihan Bud Morgan Karate", and it will give you all the specifics of who I am, what I can offer, and what I have as far as experience. I am a 7th dan from Kokusai Seito Karate-do Kenkyukai, I am also a seventh year Member of the "Dai Nippon Butoku-kai" in Kyoto, Japan. A very prestigeous Organization since 1895. You can look that up. I do not think Fayetteville has anyone else within these Japanese Karate organizations, yet there are a few other very good real karate teachers here. They likely will not be in the Mall. Not ever. My prices for Tuition are fair.....0.......thats true 0 dollars. I do require you to have a black gi and a white gi (uniform) as soon as you can. We have a International Governing body that Certifies your Rank. Lifetime Fee is $75.00 but not right away, just before you receive Rank/Belt promotion......we do and will train hard, and we will only do real karate, no sport, no tournament, just real karate. It is good for ladies as well. It is effective self defense for all. We do teach Kobudo as well, the use of Okinawan wooden weapons but that is not our primary. Our Dojo is called the Shotoshinkai Karate Dojo. We invent nothing. This is the art of Itosu Anko, passed to Hanashiro Chomo and Kanken Toyama, to Kinjo Hiroshi, to Mitani Kazuya, who is now 88 years old. All of these men are researchable and real. I have a small home Dojo that is very nice. It can hold six or so students. Outside under my Giant Bonsai we will train mostly. This is why we need a black uniform as well. The grass leaves no stains. This allows me to teach for free. But you must understand the real karate requires a certain amount of structure, and process in order to be effective. You will learn quick, and you will learn well. You will see. I do not want more than ten people if possible. This is the old tradition. Teach just a few and teach them deeply and effectively. I would love to see Karate-ka with experience in other karate who simply seek to learn, not to compare. To study the History you will see this is the Original Karate, it is basic and simple in one methodology, and yet it is hiding the real art of Shuri-te to the advanced persons. I have done this for over fifty years. You come and check us out, you will hopefully be staying a long time. This Class is scheduled for early June, we will meet on Tuesday evenings at 6pm and Saturday mornings at 9am. Class will last at least two hours, maybe a bit more. As a small group we will take liberty for Holidays etc to be with our families. The two days I teach, are just the start. I practice every day, and you should too. If you can, you will only get better, faster. NO HIGH JUMPING SPINNING KICKS......so you don't have to worry. Real karate is to receive an attack, stun, throw to ground, and get safe. Not fighting, but stopping the aggression in its tracks. Again, this is not sport karate or even like Tae Kwon Do. This is more useful as complete self defense. I hope 6-10 people can find their way here, and get a legitimate class going strong. Class will be ongoing, not one day. Listing forces a day number, but class has no end date.
