Volunteers needed for PTSD research
Do you have PTSD?
We are currently recruiting participants for a treatment study for posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). This study will examine the effectiveness of a brief screening method that may predict which people with PTSD are most likely to show a positive response to SSRI medications. Your participation may contribute to a precision-medicine approach when choosing initial psychopharmacological interventions.
Who is eligible?
➢ Men and women between 18-70 with PTSD who are interested in taking a medication to treat their symptoms
➢ Participants cannot currently be taking psychiatric medications
What does the study involve?
➢ Participation in a physician-monitored PTSD treatment trial
➢ Listening to loud tones through headphones while brain activity is monitored and completing interviews and self-report measures about your symptoms.
➢ Having blood and urine samples collected
What are the potential benefits to you?
➢ Participants will receive comprehensive psychiatric evaluations throughout the study.
➢ Study psychiatrists will check-in with participants every two weeks.
➢ We will work with participants to facilitate post-study specialty mental health referrals and ensure seamless continuation of psychiatric care when appropriate.
➢ Participants will receive up to $560 compensation.
