Repair Technician for Commercial Aquatics - San Diego San Diego, CA Description We are a large swimming pool management company specializing in pool maintenance, automation and software solutions, and equipment upgrades. We are looking for experienced industry professionals who would like an exciting aquatics career! The ideal candidate has minimum two years experience in industry repairs, a great work ethic, a positive "can-do" attitude, and is customer service oriented. Requirements Essential Functions: -Responsible for performing a wide variety of repairs, including but not limited to: installing, removing, and/or repairing heaters, pumps, motors, filters; repairing pool lights, gaskets and replacing bulbs; fixing gas leaks; electrical wiring -Responsible for wearing the required property uniform and insuring a professional appearance and attitude for clients. -Responsible for courteous, efficient response at all times to clients, including follow up on repairs as necessary, and answering client questions. -Responsible for reporting to their manager on a regular basis. -Responsible for the timely and accurate reporting to the billing coordinator of work performed, including pricing, to ensure that work gets billed to the customer in a precise and timely manner. -Responsible for thorough knowledge of management company policies and property community policies. -Responsible for attending company meetings as requested and provide management with feedback to help increase efficiency and client satisfaction Physical Requirements: -While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and communicate findings with coworkers and/or managers. -The employee frequently is required to walk and climb or balance. -The employee is frequently required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl -The employee is often required to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and on rare occasions, move more than 100 pounds. -Degree of Strength, Flexibility and Agility Required to Perform the Job: -Conditions may require working in difficult outdoor weather, maneuvering in limited space, and multi-tasking. -Daily travel from the office to the client’s properties required, weekend work may be required, as well as early/late hours beyond a typical 8AM-5PM workday as necessary Experience and Education Requirements: -High school diploma or equivalent required -1+ years in the aquatics industry required -2+ years of technical work experience within commercial aquatics that includes experience with water chemistry, minor electrical work, plumbing work, as well as experience working on pumps, automatic filtration systems, heaters, and chemical automation and chemical feed devices preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements: -Strong work ethic and excellent customer service skills -Ability to work independently with little supervision -Strong organizational and excellent time management skills -A self-starter with a sense of urgency to service pools thoroughly and efficiently, with a high degree of care towards client satisfaction -High degree of integrity and professionalism Other Requirements: -Valid driver's license that has been valid for at least 2 years -Must be over the age of 21 -Ability to communicate effectively in English -Successfully pass a thorough background check -Successfully pass a thorough DMV/driving record check -Must be able to work weekends and holidays, as necessary Benefits: -Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Pet Insurances -Paid Sick and Vacation Time -401k -Company Vehicle with Fuel Card
