HUDSON VALLEY, NY —Pandemic-related restrictions continue to be eased across the region, allowing small audiences to once again attend films, stage performances, exhibits and concerts. Here are just a few of the best reasons to venture out of the house to enjoy a show. Safety remains the top priority, so we also added a few virtual ways to enjoy a night out without leaving home. LIVE MUSIC: Outdoor Coffeehouse Concert With The Night Train Band - The six-piece band of well-known Hudson Valley musicians will celebrate seven years together ready to rock with the music of the Allman Brothers, the Beatles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Fleetwood Mac, Jimmi Hendrix, Elvis, the Rolling Stones, Santana, and other classic rock musicians. 4 p.m. April 18. Spring Lights celebrates Thomas Cole's love of nature with lights and sound. The walking path is gravel and less than a quarter mile. Limited seating will be available along the walking path. Now through May 9. Tickets prices range from free to $20. Thomas Cole National Historic Site 518-943-7465 EARTH DAY CELEBRATION: Sky and Earth Week 2021 - The Hudson River Museum is offering a combination of in-person and virtual events, including special access film screenings, panel discussions and family activities to help us show Mother Nature some love. Kids will earn prizes donated by Rye Country Store playing a special daffodil game of seek and find. Youngsters will also exhibit daffodils they cared for this spring.
