PLEASANTON, CA — The city of Pleasanton will unveil summer camps and programs on April 27. Programs will have in-person and virtual components, the city's Library and Recreation Department said in a statement. In-person events will follow state and county COVID-19 protocols. Registration opens 8 a.m. Wednesday, May 5 on PleasantonFun.com. The online recreation software has been updated and is faster and easier than before, the city said. Users will have to create a new account in the mobile-friendly CivicRec system before registering. The city also announced that it will open registration next week for the summer adult softball league. This is the first time the city has offered the adult softball program since fall 2019. Participants can opt to play on any weekday night at the Ken Mercer Sports Park (5800 Parkside Drive). State and county COVID-19 protocols will be observed. Early registration for the softball program will be offered Monday through May 3. Regular registration runs May 4 through 23. The fee is dependent on the team. Register your team or learn more here.
