To the gentleman with the loud pipes who roars by everyday, thank you. Every time I hear you go by I’m taken back to days of laughter, fun and contentment. I’m flooded with memories of a man whom I shared a deep and profound connection with. A man who changed my life forever. A man I lost only weeks ago. For a brief moment I feel all the love I have for him without the heavy weight of his death. For a brief moment I’m lifted to pure joy at the thought of him pulling around the corner, that I might see him again. For that brief moment, I am at peace.
