May require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager, Assistant Service Manager, or Sales Department. Responsibilities: • Keep the lot clean and organized. Includes removing rubbish and maintaining gravel lot. • Rearrange Turf and CCE items quarterly. • Work with the sales department to make sure equipment is displayed properly, i.e. implements on CUT’s attachments on CCE items. • Ensure all equipment is secured. • Ensure all machinery is staged appropriately. • Stage equipment for technicians to work on. Find the whole goods unit and all attaching parts and ensure they are in the warehouse ready for the technician to install. Uncrate new items when necessary. • Ensure retailed units are washed (if necessary) and staged ready for customer pick up or delivery. • Check-in all inbound whole goods freight and put in the proper storage place the same day. • Keep all whole goods items in the warehouse organized. • Assist with delivery of units during the busy season or as needed. • Assist customers with loading and unloading of service items, tagging them appropriately, and informing service department of items that have arrived or left. • Assist with loading of sold inventory to customers via loading dock, ramps etc. Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge: • Ability to perform duties safely & efficiently. • Familiar with John Deere and competitive products • Exhibit positive and forward-thinking skills • Possess strong people skills and the ability to work in a team environment • General understanding of mechanical/technical terms • Basic data entry/keyboarding skills • Basic parts and machinery knowledge • High School Diploma or equivalent experience • Ability to lift 60 – 70 pounds frequently • Ability to lift 75 – 100 pounds on a regular basis • Ability to stand for long periods of time • Ability to bend, stoop, twist and reach on a frequent basis • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required • Candidate must become forklift certified within 30 days of employment
