River Lake Clinic began in 1976. The clinic provides high-quality healthcare to a wide variety of patients. We have both a behavioral health clinic and an eye clinic. This position is for the eye clinic only. We are seeking an individual who works directly with patients. This includes conducting patient intake and several tests as well as listening to patient needs and understanding doctor prescriptions and recommendations for patients and advising patients regarding these in terms of follow-up care, products, contact lenses, and eyeglasses. This role requires good communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong desire to help people via direct patient interactions and working together as part of a dedicated care team. We assess our candidates on personality, skills, and whether or not one is a good fit for our practice. Past experience working in a clinic is helpful, but not required. Overall skills acquired from other jobs and experience are often readily applicable to working at our clinic. Commitment to training well and continually growing and learning in this position is expected. Reliability and availability during clinical hours are required. We have had excellent candidates from seemingly unrelated fields including customer service, food service, cosmetology, etc. Our clinic is a great place to transition to a new career.
