OVERVIEW Gator Bio is a venture backed biotech company located in Palo Alto, CA. We develop, manufacture and market instruments, biosensors, reagents, and consumables for in-vitro diagnostics and biotherapeutic development. Our mission is to simplify and accelerate biological analysis for biotherapeutic research and development. We are hiring for a full-time Warehouse, Shipping & Receiving professional to be based in Palo Alto, CA. This position will oversee the planning and managing of logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services including the coordination of full order cycle. High level communication and organization skills are required. RESPONSIBILITIES In this role, you will be responsible for: - Strategically plan and manage warehouse, incoming, outgoing logistics. - Managing the receipt of all products, materials and supplies; including incoming inspection to verify quantity and quality of all products to ensure they meet quality standards. - Maintaining inventory by identifying, labeling, and organizing materials and supplies in stock. Record locations, develop stocking levels for optimal customer and internal inventory. - Monitoring and communicate tracking, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments; - Identifying global routing and carriers and negotiate contracts and rates; - Working with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations; - Ensuring all operations adhere to laws, regulations, safety, and ISO requirements; - Keeping warehouse area organized and free of obstructions, breaking down boxes, preparing shipping labels, packing lists and customs documentation. REQUIREMENTS In order to be successful in this role, you will meet the following requirements: - Solid understanding of logistics and inventory management. - Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role; Military logistics or BA in logistics/ supply chain a plus. - Excellent communication, leadership and planning skills; interpersonal and negotiating skills, organizational skills and attention to detail. - Experience with hazardous chemicals and/or biologics procurement, handling, storage, & disposal. - Time management skills; proven ability to meet deadlines. - Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and handle multiple projects. - Proficiency working with ERP software, SAP preferred. - Experience with Microsoft Office Suite / Quickbooks / Fed Ex Ship Manager / UPS Worldship/ DHL.
