Hardwoods operates a North American network of over sixty distribution centers, as well as one sawmill and kiln drying operation Position Overview This role performs an array of functions that include receiving and processing incoming materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, delivering product to customers; loading and unloading lumber and interacting with customers on a daily basis. Job Duties •Unloading and loading flatbed trailers, dry vans and containers •Verifying counts and identifying products to be stocked •Tagging and stocking materials in warehouse •Tallying lumber •Identifying and tagging products •Pulling orders •Packaging and staging pulled orders •Organize product in the warehouse •Driving forklift, this includes dismounting and re-entering forklift multiple times throughout the day •Inspecting/Preparing Truck •Use of fork lift to obtain lumber •Banding load while still on forklift •Placing load on truck •Securing load with strap that is thrown over lumber, pushing down on winch to tighten strap that secures load •Pulling side curtains of truck closed •Driving long and short distances •Offloading lumber •Customer service •Keeping the truck and warehouse clean and saf Education/Training: •At least 1 year and clean Motor Vehicle Report. •Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to the job and to the safety regulations. •Must have a valid OR CDL and DOT Medical Card.
