Grab Your Family and Let's Play! Dig. Uncover. Examine. Grab your beach toys and join the Alliance for Early Childhood along with River Trail Nature Center, Forest Preserves of Cook County, and Dr. Charles Shabica from Shabica & Associates, Inc,, for a morning of discovery as we explore at one of Cook County’s treasured beaches. INTENDED AGE AUDIENCE: ALL AGES ARE WELCOME. Registration is required. The event will have a capacity of 65 attendees based on current Restore IL Guidelines. Mission of Let’s Play! Let’s Play! is The Alliance for Early Childhood’s ongoing community program, inviting families to engage and interact with their children in child-directed, creative, free play. Let’s Play! Objectives Bring our community togetherUnplug and connect families to experience learning through play togetherProvide children the opportunity to engage in child-directed free play, allowing them to follow their own instincts, ideas and interestsProvide opportunities for children to negotiate, collaborate and problem solve through the creative processEngage parents in experiences with their children that build understanding of the importance of child-directed playAll Illinois Department of Public Health guidelines will be followed during the event. Please wear a mask and help your family maintain social distance at the event. Attend your assigned time slot and leave promptly when your time window is over. This will ensure time for sanitizing between events. Please complete the Family At Home COVID-19 Wellness Screening prior to attending the event.
