Description

Biscuit is a sweet, fun-loving, energetic young berner in need of an amazing home. He loves children and other dogs. He is incredibly gentle with our toddler and baby. Temperament exactly what Berners are known for. Our sole reason for rehoming is baby allergies. We adopted him as a puppy while awaiting our second child, and it turns out she has major skin allergies. This problem was navigable in the beginning but now that our baby is active in the house, Biscuit’s freedoms in our home have become increasingly limited. We hoped the issue would resolve but it is not looking like it will anytime soon, and to be fair to our guy we want to find him a great home without allergy sufferers so he can be indoors among his family all the time. Currently he has a big yard to explore, we would like him to continue to have a yard as well as owners who are interested in having him hang out inside. He thinks toys are OK but his greatest love is people! Walks are essential too, he’s not a dog that runs around a lot on his own :) He has completed all his basic training, housebroken, he is crate trained as well as e-collar trained. That said, he is still majorly puppy and excitable meeting new people and still requires practice with commands. We have a great relationship with an in-home trainer in the area who does occasional brush up sessions and also loves boarding him during travel. He is professionally groomed every 3-4 weeks. Biscuit is purebred and is not neutered and is current on his vaccinations. This has not been a quick decision for us as he is a part of the family as well as quite an investment as a family pet. We are eager to rehome but we are also not in a rush, it is most important to find him the right home where care and upkeep will continue. We will be asking you basic questions about yourself and Biscuits potential new environment so please be comfortable with that. We are also asking for a rehoming fee, relative to what a Bernese puppy fee would entail. If you are interested contact me and we will come up with something reasonable together. Keep in mind Berners are pricey puppies, we paid thousands in adoption fees alone. This is not a for-profit situation, rather to recoup a fraction of initial adoption and training expenses as well as ensure he can be maintained properly. Please contact me with any questions, look forward to hearing from you!
