Many of these pet ads are fake. Especially the ones where they inexplicably use upper and lower case letters or have a phone number on the photo. If it looks fake, please don’t respond. You only reward encourage them. They will take your money and you have nothing. Sending any deposit means your money is gone. Craigs List can’t seem to monitor any of these fraudulent ads. They state their guidelines, but do not enforce them. The only time to part with your hard earned money is when you are holding the pet. Please don’t be a victim of Russian, etc., scammers. Craigs List is not a good citizen. Don’t trust anything that you cannot verify. They LIE!
