POSITION: Heavy Equipment Operator-Front Loader LOCATION: Sarasota, FL PAY RATE: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour WORK HOURS: 40+ hours - 2nd Shift ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS • Operates Front Loader and Forklift to load/unload material on conveyors. • Operates wheel loader to push and load materials on conveyors. • Performs pre-operation checks of equipment. • Performs routine service and preventative maintenance on equipment. • Assists mechanics on minor repair work on equipment. REQUIREMENTS • 3+ years of Front Loader Experience-Mid-Large Size Loaders. • 3+ years of Forklift Experience. • Familiarity with OSHA Regulations and General Safety Practices. • Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety operating light or medium equipment. • Knowledge of the operating and repair characteristics of light or medium equipment. • Ability to service types of light or medium equipment and to make minor repairs. • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions. • Availability to work overtime when needed. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. • Manual dexterity and hand eye coordination-Hearing and Visual ability. • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, and twist at the waist. • Ability to work in an airborne dust and dirt particles, with various climatic temperatures. • Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. • Ability to accurately gauge lengths of time and distance. • Possess fast reflexes and unimpaired coordination. • Ability to perform tasks involving high levels of cognitive function and judgment. • Not mentally or physically impaired from any cause that can adversely affect the ability to safely and competently perform the job duties and functions.
