NORTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — A 21-year-old New Brunswick woman was killed in a four-vehicle crash Friday, April 9 on Rt. 130 in North Brunswick. The woman has been identified as Ceidy Antunez, 21, of New Brunswick. The crash happened at 7:20 a.m. Friday: Police say Antunez was driving a 2013 Nissan Rogue on Rt. 130 north. As she neared the intersection with Adams Lane, she for some reason lost control of her car and side-swiped another car that was waiting at the red light. Her Nissan Rogue then rear-ended a box-truck, pushing that truck into the car that was in front of it. Antunez was trapped in her car and had to be pulled out by North Brunswick Fire and EMS squads. She was pronounced dead at the scene by Robert Wood Johnson Hospital paramedics. Antunez was alone in her car, and nobody else was injured, said North Brunswick Police. "The cause of Antunez losing control of her vehicle is still to be determined," said North Brunswick Police. Antunez leaves behind a baby boy, her son, who is one year old, according to this GoFundMe set up for her. "Our beloved Ceidy Antunez passed today April 9, was a loving mother, cousin & friend who touched the lives of those around her. She leaves behind her baby boy that's only 1 year old,"read the fundraiser. Be the first to know what's happening in your town and area.
