Daily coronavirus case numbers in Colorado have surged over the past week, state public health officials said. Between Sunday afternoon and Monday afternoon, 803 new cases of the coronavirus were reported in Colorado. As of Monday, 479,590 cases of the coronavirus have been reported in the state among more than 2,797,000 people who have been tested since the outbreak began, health officials confirmed. Around 26,285 people have been hospitalized. Colorado's COVID-19 death toll: Deaths among cases: 6,157Deaths due to COVID-19: 6,303 More than 2.1 million Coloradans have received at least their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine, according to state data. More than 1.2 million are fully immunized. Around 31 percent of the state's critical care ventilators were in use as of Monday, according to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
