Ever wanted to be a mermaid? Ever wanted to photograph one? Rent a 30 or 45-minute time-slot in this state of the art mobile mermaid tank. Rent Time in "Frigate" our 1000 gallon Mermaid Tank Designed with photographers, models, and mer-enthusists in mind, we are opening our custom mermaid tank to the public. Bring your own photographer and/or model for your session. You can bring your own fins or contact us to rent a top-of-the-line tail for your session (depending on availability). If you are a photographer who would prefer to work with an experienced underwater model, we can pair you with one of our own professional mermaids. Prices: 30 minutes - $10545 minutes - $150Want more time? The tank has a rest period of 15 minutes between each participant to aid in water clarity. If you book back-to-back sessions you have the option of working through that 15 minute period at no extra charge. Due to the travel required for this event, a minimum of 15 tickets must be sold by May 15th to secure the event. Otherwise the event may be cancelled and tickets refunded. Session Description: Custom built, 1000 gallon, acrylic tank. The tank itself is 8'x4'X4' but sits on an 18" high steal frame making the total structure 5.5' tallThe tank will be set up, filtered, and of reasonable temperature (above 75 degrees) when you arrive. You may arrive up-to but not more than 10 mins before your session to prepare.If you arrive late your session will still end as scheduled you will not be compensated for time missed.One tank technician and one trained safety will be there to aid you.A pop-up changing tent will be provided but it's strongly encouraged that you arrive as much in costume as possible. Session is outside rain or shine. However in the event of thunder or lightening your session may be postponed or cancelled and refunded. A photographer seeking a model can contact us to be paired with a professional underwater model. A model seeking a tail can contact us regarding rentals Safety Procedures: No more that 3 people allowed per a session. (This can be a photographer and two models, one model and two photographers, a photographer, model, and assistant, etc.)The tank will be maintained with high enough chlorine levels to ensure the water is properly treated and any coronavirus virions cannot survive or be transmitted through the the water. However, due to the strict health guidelines, 100% clarity is not guaranteed. The model may experience the typical burning sensation in open eyes or sinuses associated with the presence of chlorine, however levels will be kept within a safe range.Everyone not actively in the tank must wear a mask at all timesNo bathrooms on site. Please make other arrangements. Any urinating in the tank will result in you session being cancelled as well as a cleaning charge. Absolutely no glitter, wash-out/temp hair color, leave-in conditioners, oil (including oil-based body or hair products), lotion (including sunscreen), or sequins allowed in the tank. Please seal all makeup. Only water-based lubricants can be used to don tails. These restrictions will be strictly enforced for the health and safety of all participants. We reserve the right to rinse out a model's hair prior to entering the tank and to test garments for dye-bleed. Natural shell poses a threat to the acrylic and will be considered on a case by case basis, but may not be allowed. All persons entering the tank shall be required to sign a waiverSessions are open to those 6yrs old and up. However a legal gaurdian must accompany each minor and anyone requiring physical assistance must bring an assistant familiar with and capable of accomedating thier needs. Anyone going in the tank must be mentally and physically comfortable in water in the costume they will be wearing and with putting their head underwater. Maximum 2 people in the tank at a timeWhat To Bring: Your own model, photographer, assistant or friendsYour own tail, rent a tail from us, or go tail-lessYour bathing suit, costume, accessories, etc. Your own towel and change of clothingAny props, backdrops, lights or decorationAny snacks, food, or water. Due to Covid health concerns, nothing will be provided on site.Lower Left Brewery is our gracious host for this event! Stop into thier tap room for local brews and to thank them for supporting the arts! Any concept is welcome however the location is public so costumes and props must be street-legal. If you have privacy concerns please contact us. Tail Rentals A selection of professional grade Mythic tails, produced by Finfolk Productions are available to rent for your session. Currently we have sizes XS, XS/S Tall, M, L, and XL avialble. Rentals are $100 per a session. Please refer to the size chart below to determine if we have your size in stock and then contact us in advance to reserve. You will not need to pay for your tail rental until you arrive for your session and see the tail in person. Cash and Card are accepted but Venmo is preferred.
