WEST SAINT PAUL, MN— A West Saint Paul resident must remove the Black Lives Matter mural on his fence by April 15, The Star Tribune reported.
Ryan Weyandt commissioned the mural last summer, but the City said it now violates code, due to it promoting a 2020 mayoral candidate months after the election, The Star Tribune reported.
The mural violated code after election season ended in November, but the City granted Weyandt an extension due to difficulties painting over a mural in the winter, The Star Tribune reported.
City spokesman Dan Nowicki told The Star Tribune that the code enforcement team has received over 20 complaints about the mural.
