You left a note on my car. I hope your patient is doing well. If your patient is O+ it very well could have been my blood, the needle stick from my last donation hasn’t even healed yet. Your kind gesture and small thank you made my year. I suffer from severe depression and as a way to combat the pervasive feelings of worthlessness that flair up in my bouts, I donate blood regularly as a way to maybe, hopefully, make a difference in somebody’s life someday. And you reminded me just that. I just might have at one point been the reason that someone else got to go home and see their family again and live another day. You may never see this but thank you for all your hard work and the lives that you save everyday. You’re the one working hard everyday, I just get stabbed every 56 days.
