Trying to help improve Slab City Residents Quality

Hi there. My name is Jeremiah, and I am trying to find people in the LA region who are willing to help to organize bi weekly supply runs to Slab City. I realize the reputation that the Slabs has, but they are human beings living in 3rd world conditions just 3 hours South of here, and just the stuff on the curb alone would make a difference in their quality of life. I was hoping to find people with a large truck willing to drive down there about every other week, others with a staging area to gather the free stuff off of Craigslist for the runs, people willing to work the social media angle to gather supplies, etc... They really don't need much down there. The only things that would actually cost money would be non perishable food items, medicine, building supplies, etc... I am working on a YouTube channel based around the travel Counter Culture in America. I feel inspired to work on some community building while in each location. I won't be in SoCal for more than another month, but the population in the Slabs drops from about 4k to 150 then anyways, and a little bit will go a long way then. I am not trying to be in charge of any money, but would rather help by attempting to setting up any type infrastructure, so that people can donate the supplies and items needed without ever wondering if someone was using the volunteer angle to trick people out of money.
