Somewhere on Santa Monica in West Hollywood You had a real cute Subaru, matched your blue tinted heart shaped sunglasses, nice stick shift with plenty of room in the trunk. We had talked about a test drive at a red light but then you decided you weren’t selling. If you ever decide to change your mind I’d take real good care of it. I can’t get you or that trunk off my mind. Wrote ya a poem one night i saw a shooting star (Subaru logo). I hope I see that sublime Subaru again someday, you are driving me wild inside.
Are you the answer to my shooting stars
The ones that fly so far away
Fireflies of the Milky Way
For the one that’s mine,
meant to stay
Just out of reach, maybe someday
They can light up the world
Sparkle and fade like
Embers of hearts
we didn’t mean to break
I close my eyes and make a wish
That someday there’ll be room in his
The shooting star that didn’t fly away
Are you the one I saw so far away
The Man I never knew
Who watched the sky fall that fall night
Wished on the same shooting star
Now forever dance to the beat of their heart in sync with every constellation
Charleston swing dip spin up in the sky
He never saw it coming but I knew
Like souls in a dance through time
We let the playlist unwind
I knew you were the one for me
Since the first time our eyes met
I just knew. I don’t know how
Still here waiting
for you to open your mouth.
