The "Roaring 20s" Homecoming celebration gives alumni, faculty, staff, and friends a chance to reconnect and celebrate #AthensForever! Homecoming Celebration and Concert All alumni, students, faculty, staff, friends, and members of the Athens State community are invited to join Athens State University for our annual HOMECOMING CELEBRATION as we recognize and celebrate our alumni. This year’s event begins on Friday, July 30 at 6:00 PM with a plated dinner, followed by live entertainment. Homecoming weekend will continue on Saturday, July 31 as we honor the Athens College Classes of 1970 and 1971, who will be celebrating the 50th year of their commencement, alongside our current summer graduates. They will cross the stage in full regalia to receive special recognition prior to the awarding of diplomas for the Class of 2021. We ask that members of the Classes of 1970 and 1971 contact us if they would like to participate in the graduation ceremony on Saturday, July 31.
