TUCSON, AZ — Tucson residents have until 11:59 p.m. to fill out the city's survey on the proposed expansion of the Reid Park Zoo.
The survey includes six concepts that the general public can choose from, in regard to the future of the midtown zoo.
Those options range from having no zoo expansion at all to proportional expansion of the zoo's exhibits.
The survey also includes an option to relocate the Reid Park Zoo entirely from the grounds its sat on since opening in 1965.
In total, there are eight concepts that the public can choose between, regarding the future of the 24-acre zoo.
The Tucson City Council, along with Mayor Regina Romero, voted to pause expansion at the zoo in early March, setting a 45-day deadline to create community dialogue about the future of the facility.
