MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — Motorists Wednesday driving through Crestline in Mountain Brook will need to avoid a normally busy section of Montevallo Road. Spire will close Montevallo Road from Glencoe Drive to Glenview Drive April 14 to install pipe on their pipeline upgrade project from 8:30 a.m. until around 2 p.m. Officers will be present at both ends telling cars where to turn for the detour and workers will have detour signs at each turn from Glenview Drive to Glencoe Drive. If there is a weather delay Wedneday, Spire will close the road on Thursday, April 15 from 8:30 a.m. until 12 noon to finish up the work.
