Diamond Landscaping, Inc., a premier landscape installation company in the Los Angeles area is looking to hire Laborers. Looking for hardworking individuals who are dependable and motivated. Works great with others in a team environment. Always ready to learn. Some construction experience is great but not required. Benefits include $10 per day meal reimbursement, paid vacation, paid sick leave, 401k, health and dental. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, or rakes. • Ability to use hand, electric, or pneumatic tools. • Load, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools, distributing them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans or specifications. • Erect or dismantle scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, or other temporary structures. • Provide assistance to craft workers, such as carpenters or masons. • Position or dismantle forms for pouring concrete, using saws, hammers, nails, or bolts. • At all times wear proper PPE and Company shirt. • Ensure all safety precautions and quality standards are met. • Ability to properly assess site conditions for safety hazards. • Immediately inform Management of any injury that occurs. • Assist keeping job sites free from unnecessary debris and trash, i.e. good housekeeping. • Attend monthly safety meetings. • Ability to complete necessary paperwork, such as time cards. • Ability to be flexible with project needs. • Ability to get to work on time and demonstrate consistent attendance. • Communicate with Management of absences on a daily basis before the start of scheduled shift. • Ability to follow directions. • Ability to interact/communicate with co-workers, supervisors. • Ability to understand and follow posted work rules and procedures. • Ensure personal cell phone use is kept to a minimum. • Ability to accept constructive advice. Essential Physical Demands • Ability to perform physical activities constantly, which require use of arms, legs and the moving of the entire body, such as lifting, balancing, bending, stooping, and handling of materials. • Ability to climbing up and down ladders, machinery, and other objects. • Ability to maintain balance in all situations. • Ability to reach, hold, handle and manipulate objects and materials. • Ability to push, pull and frequently lift/carry objects, tools, materials and equipment weighing up to 60 pounds. • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
