Barker & Associates, Inc dba Star Construction is bidding on the upcoming project for SHRA and are requesting proposals from all qualified MBE/WBE and Section 3 Subcontractors. ALL other qualified Subcontractors/Suppliers are encouraged to provide proposals for the following project: Project: Alder Grove Fire Rehabs - 2021 IFB: 21186-MAds Possible Trades/Services include, but not limited to: Asbestos Removal; Cabinet, Millwork & Finish Carpentry; Construction Clean-up; Doors, Gate & Activating Devices; Safes; Insulation & Acoustical; Lead Removal; Painting & Decorating; Plumbing; and Warm-Air Heating, Ventilation & AC. Submit all proposals/quotes via e-mail or fax to (916) 481-4824 indicating what trade you will be bidding. Recommended one day prior to bid day for consideration. Note: This project is a subject to Davis Bacon Residential prevailing wage rates and all bidding parties are responsible for verifying their own wages. This contract is subject to Federal Labor Standards, California Labor Code including but not limited to Sections 1771, 1744, 1775, 1776, 1777.58, 1815, compliance monitoring and enforcement by SHRA and the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR), affirmative action requirements, Section 3 Requirements of the HUD Act of 19868, the Davis-Bacon Act, and Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprise Standards. This is a Public Works project. Per California Labor Code Section 1771.1 (a), a contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, subject to the requirements of Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public works, as defined in this chapter, unless currently registered and qualified to performance public work pursuant to Section 1725.5. Notwithstanding any other requirements (including federal labor requirements), this contract is submitted to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of industrial relations (DIR).
