ALERT ALERT ALERT: Garage Door Technician Apprenticeship? The way it works is that you would work in a garage door warehouse for 1-5 months, learning all the components and various other areas of the job and then moving out into the field with a field trainer. The first 1-5 months would entail loading wholesale customers, deliveries throughout Northern CA and hands on activities such as insulating garage doors and modifying sizes, etc. The pay would start at $14 an hour with 40 plus hours a week, with raises every 30 days until you transition to the field. An example of a field technicians salary is $60,000 - $125,000 a year. Once in the field, you will drive a company truck throughout the area servicing homeowners and residents with the garage door problems, installing new garage door openers and garage doors. It is a satisfying, flexible, lucrative career path that awaits determined individuals. Although this is an ideal situation for some candidates, either job description below can also be the sole job for the new employee. Both of these job functions work together and employees are preferred to be able to perform the functions of both. Warehouse Assistant: Seeking a full-time warehouse assistant to assist with pulling orders for customers, preparing shipments & deliveries, receiving of shipments from vendors, restocking shelves, maintaining accurate inventory counts, maintaining warehouse, facility and company vehicles. Some production work to modify customers orders to their preferences. If you have a clean driving record, you will have cross opportunities to perform deliveries. - Must be able to lift 50 +/- pounds regularly. - Must have punctual attendance. - Must have great communication skills. Delivery Driver: Seeking a full-time delivery driver to assist with regular delivery routes. You MUST have a CLEAN DRIVING RECORD to be considered for this position. A delivery driver is responsible for loading and delivering our products to customers throughout our set delivery routes and appointments as well as picking up from some of our vendors on a regular and as needed basis. This is a full-time position and if no deliveries/pickups are available, while unlikely, you would fill a warehouse assistant position. You can expect to be on the road for a minimum of 3 days per week. Delivery locations can vary and you can expect to drive out of the area including North of Redding, the Bay Area and along the 99 Corridor on a regular basis. - Must be able to lift 50 +/- pounds regularly. - Must have a Clean Driving Record - Must have punctual attendance. - Must have great communication skills.
