Building and Equipment Maintenance individual needed for our paper and metal recycling corporation. Located between Lake Bluff and Waukegan in the City of North Chicago, (blocks from Great Lakes Naval Base and the VA Hospital), our 50 year plus, Veteran owned business, is in search of a candidate with a love for variety within the trades. Candidates with exposure to a variety of building and equipment, such as light plumbing, painting, repairs, light electrical, preventative maintenance of forklifts. skid steers, and excavators, will be considered. Must have a stable work history and the ability to take direction from the General Manager and run with it. A flexible individual who can switch gears and recognize a sense of urgency where needed. Heavy equipment operation a plus! High School diploma or GED equivalent. Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of management and co-workers. Core hours 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday - Friday (Occasional Saturday 7 a.m. to noon, where needed). Contingent upon pre-employment screening, background check.
