Looking for some awesome part-time, flexible work? We're looking for a few energetic bike valet attendants to join our team! If you like being outdoors, meeting new people, and making DC more bike friendly, then this could be a great opportunity for you. We provide bike valet service (think coat check, but for bikes!) at DC events as well as DC United games at Audi Field. Bike valet attendants are responsible for checking patrons in/out and keeping bikes safe during the event. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION WILL INCLUDE: - Serve as staff to be present at bike valet events - Efficiently check-in cyclists, park bikes, and return bikes - Help set up and break down the bike valet (tent, racks, signs, table/chairs, etc) - Provide security to make sure bikes are not stolen or tampered with - Work closely with the bike valet supervisor to provide successful program PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS - Background in project/event management, retail, or business - Punctuality and effective communication with others - Customer service - Strong written/verbal communication and leadership skills - Account management experience REQUIRED CHARACTERISTICS - Detail-oriented - Upbeat, can-do attitude with professional and friendly demeanor - Resourceful, works well independently and with volunteers - Ability to lift over 30 pounds and stand for long periods of time in outdoor settings at all times of year - Motivated to achieve the mission of Two Wheel Valet and passionate about the benefits of bicycling - Must be able to work nights and weekends (as this is when most events take place) - Job requires a smartphone - must be able to use email and texting. Regular is $16/hr. Managers can make $15+ depending on ability.
