Please apply to WorkForGoodSA.org POSITION SUMMARY This position works closely with climbers and Crew Leaders to ensure safety (Our #1 Priority) and smooth, efficient operations on a daily basis. This is an entry-level job designed to provide experience in tree care industry. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assist aerial workers and other ground crew members in all aspects of tree care, planting and removal. Keep the job site safe & organized, drag & chip brush, rake & clean up the job site. Work with and without direct supervision. Drive trucks with trailers, including daily safety inspection before and after operating. Operate equipment including chainsaw, chipper, tractor, skid steer, spray rig, backpack sprayer, leaf blower, etc. including periodic maintenance/repairs. Work safely and comply with company policies and ANSI/OSHA regulations for tree care operations, including wearing all appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as provided by company. Complete and retain basic skills training. Willingness to pursue additional training and certification as needed. Perform traffic and pedestrian control, and other relevant duties as operationally necessary. Work safely with job hazards including equipment and vehicle operation, drop zone awareness, loud noise, wood chipper dust, gasoline and diesel exhaust, chemicals including fuel, oil, and pesticides, electrical hazards, etc. Comply with US DOT regulations for commercial vehicle drivers. REQUIREMENTS Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for a security clearance. Current TX driver’s license; Class A CDL is a plus. Ability to obtain DOT medical card upon hiring. Ability to obtain Class A CDL if needed (utilizing company vehicles). Able to work on all types of terrain and regularly lift/drag/pull 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs. Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position. For positions that require driving, must maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage, and be able to travel as needed if you drive your vehicle during company business.
