Position Description: This position is responsible for providing landscape management labor on assigned contract maintenance and snow removal projects. Success in this position is indicated by reliability, safety, hard work and willingness to learn. This position must cooperate with other landscape management crew members to see that the overall success of the branch is met. Minimum Requirements: - Experience in the landscape or construction trades preferred. - Has a reliable means of transportation in order to arrive at branch office by start time, usually around 7:00 AM. - Able to lift 50lbs and work on feet for most of the work day. Supervised By: Field Manager Primary Responsibilities: - Develop a clear understanding of the philosophies by which the company operates, and the standard operation procedures for landscape management. - Get to know coworkers in an effort to foster teamwork. - Basic landscape operations including pruning, shearing, mulching, mowing, weeding, planting, watering, leaf removal, snow removal and clean up. - Use a variety of hand and power tools including two cycle equipment and mowers. Scope of Decision Making: - With field manager, may make decisions regarding sequence of work and equipment. Routine Duties: - Arrive on time, in uniform prepared for the day, including lunch. - Maintain truck and equipment to provide a clean image and a safe environment for all employees. - Report any unsafe conditions or safety incidents to field manager immediately Qualifications/Skills: - Entry level position, landscape or construction experience preferred, but not required. - Ability to understand English preferred, but not required. - High school graduate preferred, but not required.
