Description
This sweet boy is Archie. He is a 3yr Australian cattle dog/shepherd mix who weighs 55lbs.
Archie unfortunately is being rehomed as he is not getting along with the 2 other dogs in our home. He seems to be stressed in the current situation he is in so would likely do best in a home without other male dogs. He seems to get along very well with female dogs and enjoys them very much!
Archie is incredibly smart. He’s completely trained and knows tons of tricks and is always ready to play. He is incredible at catch and will always bring the toy back to your feet. He knows commands by hand or voice and listens extremely well. He is an exceptional dog.
We do believe his ideal home would have a fenced yard with plenty of room to run. He attaches strongly to one person so would do well in a home with just one human. He doesn't need anything more. Just someone that can be active with him. Walks, fetch, training, etc. Because he does get protective of his person, he will do best in a home without kids and someone that is an experienced handler. Caution should be used when introducing Archie to new people & leashed at all times.
Archie is crate, leash, and house trained.
We really hope someone is out there to give this guy the best chance to thrive in a loving, safe home so he can live out a long life. He truly is a magical dog with something incredibly special in him. Archie is neutered, microchipped, and current on his vaccines. There is a small adoption fee to ensure he’s going to the right home.
