We're offering complete training and fulltime roles for individuals interested in moving into this space. Once ramped up, below is a list of responsibilities:
The role of a Coax Splicer is installing outside plant cable by splicing, terming and activation of aerial and underground coax cable plant. The Splicer will complete jobs as directed by their Construction Management team.
PRIMARY DUTIES
• Performs all duties according to prescribed safety procedures and uses appropriate safety equipment.
• Vehicle and equipment operations from trucks to other equipment as directed and certified
• Understand how to read and construct from a design schematic of map
• Install and splice Active and passive CATV equipment.
• Experienced using an RF meter and RF devices for Activation
• Pull Coax/fiber cables through existing duct using manual or mechanical methods
• Understand all inventory and equipment required for these projects
• Provide administrative support including submitting and updating paperwork and tracking job activity
Qualifications
High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Ability to climb poles with climbing equipment safely
Capable of working in all temperatures, climates, and weather conditions
